Here is your CLEEF Gymkhana schedule of events for 2023. Below you will find the list of patterns for all events at this years shows. Set them up at home and practice prior to the next show. Find out information and requirements to be a Gymkhana Member. Make sure to sign up at the start of the first show to start earning points!

Membership Rules and Benefits
Running a gymkhana is not an easy task by all means, we are asking you to help out and volunteer at events to help the day run smoothly. Please be aware we will be asking for volunteers to help out through the season. Those who volunteer will not go unnoticed.

1.Gymkhana Members will ride the same horse the entire season to earn points. The only exception is if your horse is injured. You must tell us immediately; you will be allowed to change horses and must remain on the new horse for the duration of the season. A vet report or proof is required.
2.Riders who have more than one horse and want to compete for points on both horses must have a membership for each horse. You will be able to place and get an award for each horse at the year end banquet.
3. Members must participate in a minimum of 5 Gymkhanas to earn an award at the year end banquet. All riders who ride in at least 5 will get an award.
4. All Gymkhana Members will be required to volunteer and help out at Gymkhana events, a minimum of 8 hours per member. Your family member or significant other can substitute for you, however you will both be required to check in at the sign-up booth and sign in for the day. Hours will be tracked and posted for members to see. If you do not complete the required 8 hours of volunteer time you will have 20 points taken away at the end of the season. *This will affect you greatly if you are in a close race for the saddle with another rider.*
Duties will include:
· Working the Gate
· Moving/Fixing barrels downed poles
· Retrieving items that riders leave in the arena
5. All Members are required to dress in collared long or short sleeve shirts, western style jeans, and boots unless the Gymkhana has a theme. No spaghetti straps, shorts, or flip flops are allowed for riders at ANY TIME.
6. You will be responsible for telling us if you notice any errors with your points before points are finalized for the season.
7. Members will follow all rules of the Camp Lockett Event and Equestrian Facility.
8. All Members will be polite and welcoming to all new members.

Benefits:
Members will be competing for points towards a Trophy Saddle. We will have 4 Saddles- 1 for each division (AAA, AA, A, & FC)
Members get discounted entry fee’s. Instead of paying $50 for all classes you will pay $40 to enter all classes. Grounds Fee is not included in these number and is required for all Horses at the facility at the time of the event.

The more members and riders we get the better the prizes at the year end!
*If you have a membership on multiple horses, you are only eligible to win 1 saddle. You will still qualify for other prizes.
How points work
Division and Membership Points
Each Gymkhana show will have 5 patterns to run. Each pattern has a time division you will be placed in depending on the time you ran. For example, here is the break down for the Barrel pattern division times:
AAA 18.71 - 20.53
AA 20.54 - 22.84
A 22.85 - 28.30
FC 28.31 and up
(FC is Future Champions)
Leadline is not tracked and no times are given.
If you run the barrel pattern in let’s say 23.45 seconds, your run would fall in the A division. Every rider will be placed in a division based on their run times in their first Gymkhana. Then you must consistently run those division times or faster to earn points. If let’s say you are in the fastest division AAA, and you happen to run a pattern slower in the AA, you will not earn points. You must stay consistent in your division to earn points. Note, a membership is required for year end awards. Points are given based on the riders placing in each pattern. First 1st to 10th place earns points:
1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 9 points
3rd place = 8 points
4th place = 7 points
and so on..
Riders will be reevaluated half way through the season to ensure they are assigned the correct division.
